In an effort to keep our creative juices flowing, please print out the imagination workout pages and complete with your child. You can also create your own imagination workout pages by drawing a scribble on a blank piece of paper with your eyes closed.  After you draw the scribble, try to make an image using the lines that are now on the page. Be sure to add color to bring your picture to life!

Dr. Cherry received her Ph.D. in Art Education from Florida State University in 1999.  Dr. Cherry also holds a Masters Degree in Art Therapy and a Master's degree in Art Education - both from Florida State University. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Moore College of Art and Design. Prior to returning to teaching K-12 in public school, Dr. Cherry was a University Professor at  for over 10 years. While a university, Dr. Cherry developed and implemented multicultural/anti-racists curriculum for teacher/clinical education, clinical rotations, student teaching, studio classes in print making, art history, art for elementary educators, research for graduate and doctoral level students, and study abroad programs. Her favorite study abroad locations are Sweden and the Caribbean.  She returned the the K-5 classroom because she missed the creativity and enthusiasm of children.  The excitement on a child's face when you show them clay, paint, or brand new "smelly" markers is the best feeling in the world.
