Fitzgerald Counseling Program

The mission of the Fannie W. Fitzgerald Elementary School Counseling Program is to prepare all students in the domains of academics, personal/Social, and career readiness to contribute at the highest levels as productive members of society through our comprehensive school counseling program. This is achieved through a partnership of empowered students, educators, parents or guardians, and the community responsible for the learning process. The professional school counselors provide this support with fidelity by advocating for equity and access to maximize student success and academic achievement for every student.

Vision Statement 

In Prince William County Public Schools, all students will learn to their fullest potential. The education of each student will be individualized and developmentally appropriate. Student learning will be enhanced by national, global, and multicultural perspectives. Students who graduate from Prince William County Public Schools will possess the basic knowledge and skills that will assure their proficiency in problem solving and the use of technology. Graduates will have a desire to learn and the skills to be lifelong learners. They will be responsible citizens. Fannie W. Fitzgerald counselors provide a comprehensive school counseling program to maximize student academic, personal/social and career related potential as our students are lifelong learners. Our graduating students achieve success by showing B.E.A.M. and being quality students in the classroom, in addition to being quality productive members of society in the highest levels through our comprehensive school counseling program which recognizes and nurtures the unique ability of each individual.
